Find and Connect with Suppliers in Ordermentum

Learn how to search for suppliers and send connection requests in Ordermentum using both the web and mobile app.

Overview

Ordermentum makes it easy to discover new suppliers and start trading with them. Whether you're looking to totally revamp your menu or want to try something new to change things up a bit.

Using Discover, you can:

  • Search for suppliers by name

  • Browse suppliers by category

  • Send connection requests

  • Message suppliers before connecting

You can do all of this via a web browser or the mobile app (iOS and Android).


Using a web browser

Step 1: Open Discover

  1. Log in to Ordermentum

  2. Go to the top navigation bar

  3. Click Discover

Step 2: Search or browse suppliers or products

  • Use the search bar to enter a supplier or product name

  • Or browse suppliers by category

Step 3: Review supplier details

Before connecting:

  • Check their product range

  • Review their business information (payment terms, delivery details, minimum order value)

  • The supplier can be contacted via the "More contact details" on the "Get in touch" panel

Step 4: Send a connection request

  1. Click Add this supplier

  2. Answer the questions when prompted

  3. Submit your request

Once the request is sent, the supplier will review your connection request.

Note: A supplier may reject your connection request; if that happens, you may continue browsing in Discover for other suitable suppliers.

If it's accepted, you'll receive a confirmation email, and you can proceed with placing your first order.


One Search

One Search is a unified search experience that helps you find suppliers and products faster based on your location.

With One Search, you can:

  • Search suppliers and products in one place

  • Apply filters to narrow down options based on the specific product you're looking for

This makes it quick and easy to find the right supplier.

Please take note that the results for the supplier name will be at the top, and the products at the bottom.


Using the mobile app (Android and iOS)

Step 1: Search for suppliers or products

From the home screen, you can:

  • Use the search bar at the top to enter the supplier or product name

OR

  • Tap Find new suppliers, and you'll be routed to the Discover page for more search options

Step 2: Select a supplier

  1. Click Add this supplier

  2. Answer the question when prompted

  3. Submit your request

Once the request is sent, the supplier will review your connection request.

Note: A supplier may reject your connection request; if that happens, you can continue browsing in Discover to find other suitable suppliers that match your needs.

If your request is accepted, you’ll receive a confirmation email and can then go ahead and place your first order.


Tips for choosing the right supplier

  • Review their product catalogue carefully

  • Check if you're happy with their cutoffs, delivery days, minimum order value, and freight charges

  • Reach out via the Get in touch panel before connecting if needed.

Troubleshooting

I can’t find a supplier

  • Double-check the spelling of the supplier name, and make sure to include capital letters

  • Try searching by product or category instead

I'm having problems connecting with a supplier

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need approval to connect with a supplier?

Yes. Suppliers must accept your connection request before you can start ordering. This is to allow suppliers to review your pricing and delivery requirements.

Can I message a supplier before connecting?

Yes. Use the Get in touch option to ask questions.

How long does it take until my connection request is approved?

Suppliers will have 48 hours to accept your request until it expires. Otherwise, you can reach out if you want to follow up. Refer to this step to get in touch with the supplier.
