Credit/Debit Card Expiry for Retailers
Credit/Debit Card Expiry for Retailers
Updated over a week ago

If you're paying for orders on Ordermentum via credit/debit card, making sure that your credit/debit card details are always up-to-date helps ensure that you can continue placing orders with your suppliers without interruption.

Expiry Notification

If a credit/debit card is expiring within 60 days, a notification is displayed during the checkout process advising that the card will be expiring soon and a new one will need to be added. This is just a reminder as orders can still be placed until the card has expired.

Once the card has expired, orders cannot be placed until a new card has been added.

My Card Hasn't Expired Yet?

This notification only shows when the card added in Ordermentum is expired. In most cases when a card expires, the bank determines the new expiry while keeping the card number unchanged. This then allows you to continue using the card without any issues as the card still works and functions as normal. We recommend keeping the card in Ordermentum up to date to avoid issues.

Expired Credit/Debit Cards and Standing Orders

If an expired credit/debit card is the default payment method and there are standing orders that have been set up by either yourself or by your supplier, orders will fail to place when the schedule is run.
