Chat lets you message your suppliers directly in Ordermentum, keeping questions, updates, and order-related conversations in one place — no phone calls, no chasing emails. It’s the fastest way to get answers and stay aligned with your suppliers.

What can I use chat for?

Venues commonly use chat to:

  • 🚚 Ask about deliveries
    “Is today’s order still arriving this afternoon?”

  • 📦 Clarify order details
    “Can you confirm what’s included in this delivery?”

  • 🔄 Update information
    “Our delivery instructions have changed — please leave at the back door.”

  • ⚠️ Discuss order issues
    Follow up on missing, damaged, or incorrect items (including images sent with Order Issue Reports)

  • 🧾 Invoice or credit questions
    “Can you confirm when this credit note will be issued?”

All messages stay linked to the supplier, making it easier for anyone on your team to jump in.


How do I start a chat?

You can start a chat with a supplier at any time.

  1. Tap the chat bubble icon (Top right hand corner).

  2. Select the supplier’s name.

  3. Start your chat directly from the app.

Note: If the supplier hasn’t enabled chat, you won’t be able to message them yet.


Notifications

When a supplier replies:

  • You’ll receive a push notification on mobile

  • You’ll see unread indicators in Inbox

Make sure notifications are enabled on your device so you don’t miss replies.
