How secure are my payment details on Ordermentum

As Ordermentum is a cloud based software platform, we recognise the importance that security plays in ensuring that all users are protected from any external security risks while they are ordering, paying or taking payment via Ordermentum.

How Payment Details are Handled

Within Ordermentum there is functionality that allows for suppliers to either enter a retailer’s credit/debit card details manually if they have them, or to send a request to the retailer user to enter their payment details directly.

Once the credit/debit card details have been saved by the user, the full details are obscured within Ordermentum, with only the last 4 digits of the account being visible.

This reduces the number of people that have access to this sensitive data as Ordermentum does not have access to the credit/debit card details that have been saved against a retailer, nor will we ask you to provide credit card details to us. If any of these details need to be re-entered, then they will need to be re-entered by the supplier on behalf of the user, or by the user themselves on the Ordermentum app.

Payment Security

All payments made on Ordermentum are handled by our PCI compliant Level 1 Service Provider who assists in processing all transactions from Ordermentum. This means that all users of Ordermentum can feel safe and confident in knowing that all credit/debit card information is being handled securely and in compliance with the industry standards from end-to-end.

Ordermentum uses 256-bit AES encryption to protect all personal data that is stored. If you’ve never heard of this before, 256-bit AES encryption is currently one of the most secure encryption methods used, so you can feel safe knowing that the data that is being stored on Ordermentum is safe from external threats.

Since we accept payment via credit/debit card, we are also fully compliant with the standards set by the Payment Card Industry (PCI) Security Standards Council (which is comprised of card networks - American Express, Visa, Mastercard, Discover Financial Services and JCB), regarding the safety and security cardholder data for online payment transactions.
