Placing Orders for your Customers

This guide covers the two methods available for placing orders on behalf of your customers in Ordermentum.

Whether you need to quickly place an order or see exactly what your customer experiences when ordering, this guide will help you navigate both approaches.

1. New Order

The "New Order" method is ideal for quickly placing orders on the go.

Steps to Place a New Order

  1. Find the relevant customer using the search bar (1) at the top right or by navigating to the Customers (2) menu on the left.


  2. Go into the customer account and select "New Order."

  3. On the next page, find and select the products you want to order. Once complete, press "Create."

Note: If your account has any advanced product rules or if you need to override prices, you can do that from the New Order page.


2. Order on Behalf

The "Order on Behalf" method allows you to see exactly what the customer sees when they log in and place an order.

Steps to Place an Order on Behalf

  1. Find the relevant customer using the search bar (1) at the top right or by navigating to the Customers (2) menu on the left.

  2. On the customer page, select "Order on Behalf." This will load the interface that the customer sees when they place an order.

  3. Select the "New Order" symbol or navigate to "Shop" to show the available categories.

  4. Choose the products from the visible categories and "Select the + icon." to add to cart.

  5. Review your order by selecting the cart.

  6. Press "Place Order" when ready.


Note: If there are any issues such as advanced product rules, minimum order values, or payment method restrictions, they will be displayed as warnings on this page.


Returning to the Supplier Portal

After placing the order, select "Back to Supplier" to go back to the supplier portal.
