Table of Contents

Viewing Customer Delivery Details

When you navigate to a customer’s page, their current delivery details are displayed on the right-hand side. This includes:

  • Delivery address

  • Delivery instructions

  • Photos

  • Point of contact

  • Last updated timestamp (if updated within the last 28 days)

Managing Delivery Details for Customers

We encourage customers to keep their delivery details updated. New customers must provide these details before placing an order.

  • Suppliers can update the delivery address by clicking on “Edit Address”.

  • Customers are responsible for managing their own delivery instructions, photos, and point of contact.

Delivery Details in Emails and Print Docs

Delivery details are included in all relevant communications:

  • Sales Order Emails: Includes customer instructions and point of contact.

  • Delivery Slips (Print Docs): Displays the latest delivery address.

ℹ️ If you have a customised delivery slip, please contact support to update it or switch to the new template.

Subscribing to Delivery Information Change Alerts

Stay informed when customers update their delivery details to prevent miscommunications and delivery errors.

How to Subscribe:

  1. Go to User Settings → Notifications

  2. Enable ‘Delivery Information Change’ notifications

This ensures you receive instant alerts for any updates.

Venue Experience

Address Book

Venues can store multiple delivery addresses and assign them per supplier. Each entry includes:

  • Delivery address

  • Instructions

  • Photos

  • Point of contact

This allows venues to customise delivery details for different suppliers.

First Order

When a venue places their first order with a supplier, they must provide:

  • Delivery instructions

  • Point of contact (if not already entered)

Checkout

After the first order:

  • Customers cannot edit delivery details during checkout.

  • If they need to update instructions, point of contact, or in rare cases, their address, they must do so via the Address Book.

Frequently Asked Questions

My customers change their delivery address for one-off deliveries (e.g., school events), causing logistics issues. How does this update help?

Previously, customers could change their delivery address at checkout, leading to confusion. Now, they can only view their saved address at checkout and must update delivery instructions via the Address Book. You will receive an alert if you are subscribed to ‘Delivery Information Change’ notifications.

What happens when a customer changes their delivery details after placing an order?

  • The latest details appear in the order details and print docs.

  • If you have subscribed to delivery change alerts, you will be notified.

  • Orders link to the Address Book entry they were placed with, not the address itself. If a customer updates an existing address entry, past orders referencing that entry will automatically reflect the updated details. However, creating a new address entry will not affect past orders.

Do my existing customers need to fill in instructions and point of contact?

No, but we encourage them to do so for smoother deliveries.

Do delivery detail changes from another supplier affect me?

Currently, yes. However, from April 2025, changes to a venue’s delivery address by one supplier will not impact other suppliers. (Coming soon)

Can Venues change their address from the Checkout screen?

Initially, venues could change their delivery address and details from the checkout screen, which led to confusion. They mistakenly believed the changes only applied to that order. Based on supplier and venue feedback, we have updated the process:

  • Delivery details are now only viewable at checkout.

  • Instructions and point of contact can only be edited in the Address Book.
