This document outlines how to configure advanced product settings in Ordermentum, including setting minimum and maximum order quantities, customising lead times, and selecting available delivery days.
Introduction to Advanced Product Settings
The Advanced Product Settings section in Ordermentum allows suppliers to fine-tune the availability and fulfilment of their products. By configuring these settings, you can specify the minimum and maximum quantities customers can order, set custom lead times, and determine which days of the week products are available for delivery.
Minimum and Maximum Order Quantities
Minimum Quantity:
This field allows you to set the smallest number of units a customer can order for this product. For example, if you set this value to 1, customers must order at least one unit.Maximum Quantity:
This field lets you specify the largest number of units a customer can order. Leaving this field blank means there is no upper limit.
Sold in Multiples
Sold in Multiples of:
This setting determines the increments in which customers can order the product. For instance, if set to "1," customers can order in increments of 1 (e.g., 1, 2, 3, etc.). If set to "5," customers must order in increments of 5 (e.g., 5, 10, 15, etc.).

This field indicates the number of units the product is shipped in. If set to "0," the product can be shipped in any quantity. Setting a specific number here ensures that orders are shipped in specified quantities.
Custom Lead Time
Custom Lead Time:
This field allows you to define how many hours of notice are required before 12:00 AM on the delivery day for orders to be fulfilled.
This setting is crucial for products that require preparation time before delivery. For example, if you set this field to "24," customers must place their orders at least 24 hours before midnight of the delivery day.
Delivery Days
Delivery Days:
This section allows you to specify the days of the week on which this product is available for delivery. Simply check the boxes next to the days you wish to offer delivery for this product. For example, if you check "Monday," "Wednesday," and "Friday," customers will only be able to select these days for delivery.
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
What are Advanced Product Settings?
Advanced Product Settings allow you to control how customers can order a product. You can set minimum and maximum quantities, order multiples, shipping quantities, lead times, and delivery days.
How do I set a minimum order quantity?
Use the Minimum Quantity field to specify the smallest quantity a customer can order.
Example:
If the minimum quantity is set to 5, customers must order at least 5 units.
How do I set a maximum order quantity?
Use the Maximum Quantity field to limit the largest quantity a customer can order.
If left blank, customers can order any quantity.
What does "Sold in Multiples" mean?
This setting controls the increments customers can order.
Example:
Multiple of 1 = 1, 2, 3, 4...
Multiple of 5 = 5, 10, 15, 20...
If a customer tries to order a quantity that isn't a valid multiple, they won't be able to complete the order.
What does "Shipped in Quantity Of" mean?
This determines the quantity used for shipping purposes.
Example:
Set to 12 if products are packed and shipped in cartons of 12.
Set to 0 if products can be shipped in any quantity.
How does Custom Lead Time work?
Custom Lead Time determines how much notice customers must provide before ordering the product.
Example:
Lead Time = 24 hours
Delivery Day = Friday
The customer must place their order at least 24 hours before midnight on Friday.
Why can't my customer order a product for tomorrow's delivery?
The product may have a Custom Lead Time that prevents last-minute ordering.
Review the product's Lead Time settings and available delivery days.
How do Delivery Days work?
Delivery Days control which days customers can select for delivery.
Example:
If only Monday, Wednesday, and Friday are selected, customers won't be able to choose Tuesday or Thursday as a delivery date.
Can I set different delivery days for different products?
Yes. Delivery Days are configured per product, allowing different products to have different delivery schedules.
Why is a product unavailable on a specific delivery day?
Check the product's Delivery Days settings. If that day isn't selected, customers won't be able to order the product for delivery on that day.
Can I update Advanced Product Settings at any time?
Yes. Changes can be made whenever needed and will apply to future orders.
Do Advanced Product Settings affect existing orders?
No. Changes generally apply to new orders placed after the settings are updated.
