Ordermentum can verify if a product is in stock in NetSuite at the checkout for your customers.
This guide outlines the necessary settings in NetSuite that must be configured to enable this functionality.
NetSuite Settings
To allow Ordermentum to read stock levels from NetSuite, certain settings must be enabled by a NetSuite Administrator.
Step 1: Enable REST Services
Navigate to Setup → Company → Enable Features.
Select the SuiteCloud tab.
Ensure that both REST Web Services and OAUTH 2.0 are enabled.
Note: You may need to agree to NetSuite’s Terms and Conditions before enabling these features. Please read them carefully.
Click Save.
Step 2: Upgrade Role Permissions
Go to Setup → Users/Roles → Manage Roles.
Find and edit the role used to connect Ordermentum to NetSuite. This role is typically named "Ordermentum" or something similar and is a Web Services Only role.
In the Permissions section, add the following permissions if they are not already present:
Section | Permission to add | Level |
Reports | Inventory | View |
Reports | SuiteAnalytics Workbook | Edit |
Setup | Log in using OAuth 2.0 Access Tokens | Full |
Setup | REST Web Services | Full |
In some circumstances Client IDs, Client Secret, Token ID and Token Secret will need to be re-generated for those permissions to take affect.
Ordermentum Requirements
To enable stock verification, the following property must be set against all customers to ensure the stock check occurs against the relevant NetSuite location for each customer.
