This guide walks you through the process of creating and managing pricing groups in Ordermentum using the CSV import feature. It covers everything from setting up the pricing groups to assigning customers and uploading custom prices.

Table of Contents

Introduction

Before you begin creating pricing groups, ensure that your products have already been set up in Ordermentum.

Step 1: Create the Pricing Groups

  1. Navigate to "Trading details" on the left-hand menu and select "Pricing."

  2. Click "Add Pricing" to create a new pricing group.

  3. Name the group as desired and decide whether it should be the default group for all new customers. Once you're finished, click "Save Changes."

  4. Repeat this process to create the "shell" of all your pricing groups. At this stage, you’re just naming the groups—don't worry about setting the prices yet.

Step 2: Prepare and Upload the CSV with Custom Prices

  1. Go to Settings > Imports > Choose pricing groups and download the "existing pricing.csv" file.

  2. The CSV will include column headers for all the pricing groups you created in Step 1.

  3. Add the relevant custom prices under each header. Prices can be added in two formats:

    • Fixed: A fixed amount higher or lower than the base price (e.g., $2.50).

    • Dynamic: A percentage amount higher or lower than the base price (e.g., -10.00% or 10.00%).

  4. Once your CSV file is ready, upload it by clicking "Upload File."

  5. If there are any errors in your file, you’ll be notified. Correct the errors and re-upload the file.

  6. Depending on the amount of data, the upload might take a few minutes. You will be notified once the process is complete.

Tip:

  • Only amend cells in the CSV for products that have a custom price. If a product should retain its base price within a group, leave the cell blank.

Step 3: Assign Customers to Pricing Groups

There are three methods to assign customers to pricing groups:

1. Via the Pricing Group Page

  1. Go to "Trading details" on the left-hand menu and select "Pricing."

  2. Find the relevant pricing group and select "Edit Customers" from the dropdown menu.
