Archiving your customers
Updated over a week ago

Archiving a customer will remove them from your customer lists, and prevent them from being able to log into your online store.

How it works:

  • Go to the customer's page that you wish to archive

  • From dropdown, select Archive

  • You will have to confirm this step

  • Archived customers, by default, will be excluded from all customer tab views

  • Archived customers will not show up in Global Search

  • To view a list of your archived customers, you can set up a tab (see below)

FAQ:

What happens to orders previously placed by my archived customers?

  • After archiving a customer, all their previously placed orders will remain as placed.

  • You will see these orders in your list of orders

  • You will be able to navigate to the customer page from those orders

  • The customer page will be marked as archived

Will my customers be able to log in and see that they have been archived?

  • When archived, your customer will no longer be able to log-in to order from you

  • Their Ordermentum login will still be valid, however they will not be able to select you as a supplier

  • This will hide all of your products, previously placed orders and imagery from the customer

Can I restore an Archived Customer?

  • Yes

  • You will need to setup a customer tab, with the "Archive" is true tab

  • This will show you all archived customers

  • If you wish to make one of these active again, simply select that option from the drop down
